WHAT TO DO IN KALININGRAD?
Kaliningrad is the westernmost regional center of Russia and it is located separately from the rest of the territory. Before 1945 Kaliningrad was called Konigsberg and was the capital of the German province of East Prussia. By the decision of the Potsdam conference after the war, the city was transferred to the Soviet Union. 1946 was renamed in Kaliningrad.
  • The Island Of Kant
    Acquaintance with the city is better to start from the center-the island of Kanta. This place surprises with its desolation. But once it was the heart of the city - the island housed 28 streets, which were trams and there were more than 300 houses. Now the only building here is a Grand Cathedral built in 1333. The Cathedral was lucky. Although during the war all its contents burned down, the building was not demolished, as the great philosopher I. Kant was buried near its walls.
